Six new charges were filed Wednesday once morest the man who allegedly tied up and beat a woman in a Sherbrooke wooded area.

The Cowansville man has been charged with forcible confinement, death threats, assault, assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon and harassment.
The acts he allegedly did to the alleged victim occurred over a 3-month period, between May and July last year, until the woman was seen tied to a tree on July 29 .
Luc St-Pierre, 52, was arrested a few hours later and is still behind bars.
The accused has a history of domestic violence.
The hearing on his release is to be held Wednesday followingnoon at the Sherbrooke courthouse.
