A 50-year-old woman from Geel in Flanders died on Sunday in the Canary Islands while hiking, rreport Het Nieuwsblad. It looks like she passed out from the heat.
Area emergency services were alerted to provide medical assistance. On the spot, the latter find that the woman is in cardiac arrest. She succumbed a few minutes later, following several unsuccessful attempts at resuscitation.
Amazingly, another woman walking in the Canary Islands died the same day. The lifeless body of a 39-year-old Briton was also found in a mountainous area of Morro Jable, on the island of Fuerteventura
