The big and old chestnut tree at the bottom of the park, at the entrance, could disappear if its high branches overhanging the road represent a danger.

The petition that has been running for some time in Genthod has an unequivocal title: “No to the felling of trees in Lullin Park!” Launched by residents, it has already collected nearly 300 signatures. Reason for this outcry? The Canton, which owns this countryside, plans to cut around fifty species there. And among them, a dozen large chestnut trees, several of which are centenarians.
