Zurich (awp) – Real estate project developer and hotel operator Orascom Development Holding (DH) has appointed Stuart Leven as managing director of its Orascom Hotels Management division. He also joins the management of his parent company.
Mr. Leven will take operational control of the group’s hotels located in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. He will lead “the transformation and expansion of the hotel business,” the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
The new boss previously worked as vice president of UK and Ireland business operations for Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG), as well as cruise line operator Royal Caribbean Group.
In the first half of 2023, Orascom DH’s hotel business – comprising 33 establishments and more than 7,000 rooms – generated revenue of 80.3 million Swiss francs (+32.5%) and gross operating income of 35 million (+86.2%).
