The face of Gewa, Glenn Fredly and Mutia Ayu’s baby, was previously always covered when her mother uploaded her photo to social media. But now Mutia Ayu no longer does that. The main reason turned out to be her late husband.
This was expressed by Mutia Ayu when inviting Gewa to attend the Trans7 FYP program. This is Gewa’s first moment appearing on the screen.
“The real consideration is that Glenn has been planning a concert for 25 years, the estimate is that (at the concert) Gewa will be 8 months old, Glenn will show his child on stage for 25 years, he wants to plan it like that,” explained Mutia Ayu.
“In the end I thought yes, why not,” he said.
During the Glenn Fredly: 25 Years of Music concert which was held at Beach City International, Glenn Fredly’s wife, Mutia Ayu, also had the opportunity to sing on stage with a hologram of Glenn Fredly and brought Gewa.
That was the first time Mutia Ayu showed her daughter’s face to the public. Tompi, who was on the same stage, appreciated the actions of Mutia Ayu, who was now starting to dare to show Gewa’s face.
“This is probably the first time Gewa has appeared in public. Before that, I’ve never seen Gewa’s face like anything,” said Tompi on stage.
“Glenn once said this, he said this when he saw Aisyah, saw my child, ‘I want it’, he said that. ‘I want to give you anything so I can have children’,” recalled Tompi at the time.
At the FYP event, Gewa still seemed shy when asked by the event host. He was asked regarding his dreams.
Gewa was present wearing a light green baby doll dress with her hair in two ponytails. He answered that his father taught him to sing.
“Who taught Gewa to sing?” asked Irfan Hakim.
“Father,” said Gewa.
Mutia Ayu said that because she always listened to Glenn Fredly’s songs. Therefore, Gewa knew his father’s voice.
“Because I often listen to Glenn’s songs. If I listen to them in the car, she knows it’s her father’s voice. So that Gewa doesn’t lose her father’s figure, even though his body is gone, his face and voice are still there,” said Mutia Ayu.
