Vienna – Investigators from several federal states have investigated 33 members of a cross-border smuggling gang, as the Federal Criminal Police Office announced on Monday in Vienna. From August 2021 to May 2022, several thousand people were trafficked through Austria. The gang acted extremely professionally. “It is structured like a company,” an investigator from the Schwechat city police command told media representatives.
