The driver who hit a nine-year-old girl on Wednesday in La Louvière was placed under electronic monitoring with an ankle bracelet. This was announced by the Mons public prosecutor’s office on Friday.
The victim was crossing the street when a motorist hit him. She did not survive the accident. The driver fled but was caught by police two hours later.
The suspect was known to the police and the court for previous traffic offences. The case will be examined by the chambers on Thursday.
