Not to mention, you can still spice it up and add a creamy topping. Which certainly increases the level of sweetness, but even so it tends to be quite pleasing.
What chocolate to use to make brigadeirão
Of course, the first few times I made this recipe, chocolate was the ingredient of choice. But I don’t recommend that you do the same!
This is because chocolate milk generally contains a lot of sugar in its composition, which affects not only the flavor, but also the texture of your sweet.
Therefore, my suggestion is to use either powdered chocolate (which also has a smaller amount of sugar) or pure cocoa. The latter will bring an even more intense chocolate flavor.
Tips for the perfect brigadeiro
Without a doubt, this is an easy recipe that even those who don’t have much skill in the kitchen will be able to make. But, certainly, some tips can help even more, such as:
- Choose good quality ingredients, this makes all the difference in the final flavor;
- It is very important to grease your pan with butter and then add a layer of sugar. This way, in addition to leaving your dough shiny, it makes it much easier to unmold;
- In fact, if you prefer to take it out of the mold following it has cooled, just heat the mold a little directly over the flame or by dipping it in hot water. This will make the butter and sugar melt, making it easier for it to come out in one piece;
- Baking in a water bath is essential to make it creamy. If you bake it directly, without the water, a thicker shell may be created around the candy. It’s not bad, but it’s not characteristic;
- Finish with a delicious sprinkle to add a touch of texture.

Creamy, delicious and easy to make! This brigadeiro is a great dessert option for those who love chocolate.
Ingredients
- 1 can of condensed milk;
- 200 ml of cream;
- 1 cup of chocolate powder;
- 3 tablespoons of sugar;
- 1 tablespoon of butter;
- 3 eggs;
- Granulated to finish
Instructions
- In a blender, mix all the ingredients (except the sprinkles) and beat well until a smooth and uniform cream is formed;
- Then, transfer the dough to a pan greased with butter and coated with sugar. If you want your dough to be very smooth, pass it through a sieve;
- Bake in a bain-marie (with cold water), covering the pan with aluminum foil, at a temperature of 180 degrees for approximately 1 hour or until firm;
- Wait for it to cool before unmolding and finish with sprinkles;
- Siva ice cold.
Notes
I personally like to leave the brigadeirão out of the fridge for a few minutes before serving. This way, I believe it becomes creamier.
