Matteo Bruni informed that the phone conversation was as requested by President Erdoğan and the two leaders talked regarding the tragic situation in the Holy Land.

Expressing his sorrow over the developments there, the Pope took the position of the Holy See as a solution of two countries and a special provision for the city of Jerusalem.

The Turkish government has said that President Erdogan has expressed his great concern regarding what is happening in Gaza to the Pope.

On October 22, the Pope spoke to American President Biden on the phone for 20 minutes regarding the conflicts in the world and the need to find the path to peace.
