(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota’s retirement board is looking for a new executive director to handle benefits for state employees.

Scott Miller was voted out by the board during yesterday’s meeting following five years on the job.

The decision comes less than a month following state lawmakers met to discuss the North Dakota Supreme Court’s ruling to void a bill that would alter the structure of the Public Retirement System Board of Trustees.

Miller was planning to announce his retirement in regarding a year.

Chief Benefits Officer Rebecca Fricke will take over the position while the state searches for a permanent replacement.
