The company Payconiq, specializing in electronic payment systems, announced a big news this Thursday: a brand new application, called Payconiq GO, will see the light of day. This should, as the Luxembourg company announced in a press release, make life easier for traders.
Before the creation of this application, the customer had to scan the Payconiq sticker displayed on the merchant’s counter, enter the amount due themselves before validating the payment. The merchant then immediately received the money.
From now on, thanks to this application, it is the merchants who will have to enter the amount due on their smartphone, before presenting the QR Code generated to the customer. The latter will then simply have to scan this QR Code and validate the payment. A process now identical to that used between individuals, therefore. For merchants who do not wish to install this application on their smartphone, Payconiq GO will also be available online. And those who do not wish to use this system can, of course, continue to use the old sticker…
