In its “Conf letter” of December 4, 2023, the CSMF is concerned regarding the “stall” of the flu vaccination campaign which “continues day following day” during the 2023-2024 campaign. “If the trend were to continue like this, vaccination coverage might be the lowest in 4 years, which would mean that we would vaccinate between 400,000 and 500,000 fewer people than last year in the group of French people aged over 65 years,” notes the union.

In order to vaccinate more people at risk now, the CSMF explains that “it is urgent to give private doctors the opportunity to have stocks of vaccines in their practices”. And added: “This is an essential condition which will make it possible to reverse the trend [de la baisse de la vaccination, NdlR] “. The CSMF is therefore awaiting “a strong gesture” from the Minister of Health and Prevention.

A request that joins that of the National Federation of Nurses (FNI): the union also demanded on November 30 the provision of vaccines in nursing offices from the minister.
