Producing African standards of quality ingredients in sufficient quantities to feed all young children aged 6 to 23 months on the continent is possible!

On condition that all the states of West and Central Africa really take ownership of the subject and adopt common food policies. Easier said than done ! Yet despite the crises, despite global warming, it is possible to meet the challenge by transforming the food system, from production to consumption, from field to plate. Africa has all the assets to feed its children well: rich and available land, labor, quality local, natural and unprocessed food, and numerous entrepreneurs at the head of SMEs who only ask to develop to meet this enormous challenge and allow millions of children to access a fundamental right: access to rich and balanced food.

A report fromIgor Strauss carried out last September in Cotonou during the Public/Private Forum for children’s first foods, organized by Unicef.
