Grupo Mateus hired Paula Bonanno to join a new board of directors bringing together the legal, compliance, internal controls and risks areas.
Paula had worked for 15 years at Grupo Pão de Açúcar, where she served as tax and legal directors in recent years.

The company said that the challenge will be to “strengthen and develop themes related to corporate governance” in this post-IPO phase.
Paula’s arrival comes a year and a half following Mateus strengthened his senior managementa movement that consisted of the installation of founder Ilson Mateus as chairman and the appointment of Jesuíno Martins as CEO and Tulio Queiroz as CFO.
