In accordance with the annual tradition, Steam sums up the results by ranking the past months. The company has published lists of the most popular and best-selling games of 2023.

The list is divided into four categories: platinum, gold, silver and bronze. Valve has not provided official data on sales, number of players or specific order. It is indicated that places from 1 to 12 are considered platinum, places from 13 to 24 are considered gold, and so on. The list of the biggest best sellers on Steam (in no particular order) is as follows:

  • Dota 2
  • Lost Ark
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
  • Destiny 2
  • Apex Legends
  • Baldur’s Gate 3
  • Sons of the Forest
  • Hogwarts Legacy
  • Starfield
  • Cyberpunk 2077
  • PUBG Battlegrounds
  • Counter-Strike 2

Games with the largest number of players took second place on the podium.

  • Counter-Strike 2 – 1.818 million players
  • Hogwart’s Legacy – 879 thousand players
  • Baldur’s Gate 3 – 875 thousand players
  • Dota 2 – 863 thousand players
  • Goose Goose Duck – 702 thousand players
  • PUBG: Battleground – 626 thousand players
  • Sons of the Forest – 414 thousand players
  • Lost Ark – 334 thousand players
  • Starfield – 330 thousand players
  • Destiny 2 – 316 thousand players
  • Apex Legends – 311 thousand players
  • Free-to-play games continue to be extremely popular. The biggest surprise was the inconspicuous Goose Goose Duck, which managed to break the records of many blockbusters. We’re talking regarding a game reminiscent of Among Us, but with ducks.

Let us remind you that the store continues voting in the competition for the best games on Steam until January 2.
