Bhubaneswar ∙ Gokulam Kerala FC out of the Kalinga Super Cup without seeing the semi-final. Gokulam lost to Chennaiyin FC yesterday (2-0) in Group C match. Gokulam also lost to Mumbai City FC in the first match. Kerala Blasters who lost to Jamshedpur the other day were also out of the tournament. The first place in all the four groups of the preliminary stage will reach the semi-finals.

Connor Shields scored Chennai’s first goal at the Kalinga Stadium in the 25th minute from Ankit Mukherjee’s pass. Irfan Yadwad scored Chennai’s second goal in the 64th minute off an assist from Sirkovic. Gokulam’s fight ended when Irshad was shown a red card for fouling Irfan in the 69th minute. Gokulam will face Punjab FC in the final match of the group.
