RWDM Molenbeek: Tough Times for the Club in 2024

Not all of John Textor’s clubs are doing well at the start of 2024.

Bad times for RWD Molenbeek. While the fans of the Molenbeek club had threatened to stop the match once morest Eupen this Sunday evening, in the event of defeat, they took action while their favorite team was trailing 1-0 in the 84th minute. Blame it on the appearance of firecrackers and smoke bombs on the lawn of the Edmond Machtens stadium. If an attempt to resume the game was made a few minutes later, the match was definitively stopped as the concert of pyrotechnic devices resumed. Promoted this season, RWDM is currently thirteenth – and therefore first relegated – in the Jupiler Pro League and has 21 points in as many days.

Claudio Caçapa, the RWDM coach, has his work cut out for him.
