At least 15 people have died in a traffic accident in eastern Afghanistan. A bus left the road on the highway from Kabul to Jalalabad in Surobi district, authorities said on Sunday. The victims included at least three children and three women.
The main cause of the accident was driver carelessness. Due to poor road conditions, poor vehicle maintenance and reckless driving, thousands of people die in traffic accidents in the Central Asian country every year.
