Singers Isao Sasaki, Yuzo Gucci, Tozumi Tagawa, and Kaori Mizumori appeared on the 9th at “NAGARA FESTIVAL “NEXT STAGE”” held at Asakusa Public Hall in Tokyo to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Nagara Group. An interview was held before the performance.

The Nagara Group will celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2023 since its predecessor, Jun Nagara, established the Nagara Office in 1963. The event held to commemorate this event, in which the talents belonging to the Nagara Group gather together, is called “NAGARA FESTIVAL “NEXT STAGE.”

At the interview, Tagawa said, “I’ve been with the group for 32 years, regarding half of the 60th anniversary.The times have been changing rapidly during that time.I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who loves singing with enka and songs that suit the current Reiwa era. I’ll do my best to convey songs that will cheer you up!” she said with a smile. Mizumori said, “I often work with the singers, but this time, it was exciting to sing with the actors who I have never met in this way! Mr. Sasaki, Mr. Gucci, and two important people. I’m looking forward to receiving your support,” he said with a smile.
Sasaki said, “When I joined Nagara Productions, more than 90% of the songs were enka.Today, there are more people in various genres.I’m happy to see young people working in so many different fields. I look forward to seeing him play an active role in more and more fields,” he said with narrowed eyes. Also, while Tagawa and Mizumori were talking, Gucci imitated Nagara and said, “When we’re done, we’ll go to Roppongi!” and it cut in to make people laugh.

We also received letters from Tamao Nakamura, Yutaka Yamakawa, and Kiyoshi Hikawa, who were unfortunately absent from the event. Each celebrated their 60th anniversary. It seems that they are still in touch, and Mizumori said, “I receive LINE messages from Hikawa with interesting images (lol). He also watches the program and says, “I saw it.”” Tagawa said, “Everyone. We are connected,” he said, showing the bonds of the Nagara Group.
Also participating in the event were Misaki Iwasa, Hayabusa, Yuto Tatsumi, Takuma Zaiki, Manaka Murakami, Hitomi Arisa, Anri Isobe, and Miyabi Nakano.
