After the expulsion, in the dressing room, the goalkeeper had a strong reaction while speaking with his teammates regarding referee Nolberto Ararat’s decision.
The goalkeeper asked them to support themselves when one of their teammates was hit. Montero’s altercation in the game, in fact, occurred because Santiago Giordana had been hit and he went to support him. The violent reaction of the Nacional goalkeeper to the montero’s demands led the two to hit each other and that is why they were expelled.
