He Government of Peru is providing various types of economic aid to support the most vulnerable population. Among these benefits stands out the Housing Leasing Bonus for Emergencies (BAE) of 500 soles, administered by the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation. Who can benefit from this program?
March 2024 bonus: Who are the payment beneficiaries?
In accordance with Hania Pérez de CuéllarSo far, Emergency Housing Lease Bonds have been delivered to more than 5,000 people affected by Cyclone Yaku and the coastal El Niño phenomenon of 2023.
Now, NEW PAYMENTS are expected to be delivered to almost 8 thousand remaining affected people in the months of February and Marchfollowing the schedule established by the MVCS and in coordination with the municipalities.

How to access the Lease Bonus?
To obtain the latest shipments from the BAE, a March 2024 subsidy offered by the Peruvian Government to households affected by natural disasters or in risk areas, it is necessary to meet two conditions according to official State sources.
- That the home where the affected family lived is declared uninhabitable or destroyed.
- That the property to be rented is located in a safe area.
The process to request the Emergency Housing Lease Bonus is as follows:
- The initial step is filling out the National Information System for Response and Rehabilitation (Sinpad) of the National Institute of Civil Defense (Indeci), which is in charge of the municipalities, which must fill out the forms with the data of the affected families. .
- Then, the number of homes in a situation of uninhabitability or destruction, the damage identified and the information corresponding to the families must be indicated.
- With this registered information, the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MVCS) makes certain verifications in the field and then issues a ministerial resolution to specify the call.
- As of the ministerial resolution, families have up to 10 days to locate a rental home and they transfer that information to their municipality.
- Finally, the MVCS generates a deposit in the Banco de la Nación so that families can come with their DNI to collect the 500 soles per month that correspond to them for the March 2024 bonus.
What is the BAE bond?
The BAE bond is the Housing Lease Bond for Emergenciesan economic subsidy granted by the Peruvian Government to families who lost their homes or who live in risk areas due to natural phenomena such as Cyclone Yaku or the El Niño phenomenon.
The BAE bonus consists of a monthly allocation of 500 soles which is delivered for a maximum of two years to the beneficiaries so that they can rent safe and decent housing. It should be noted that this March 2024 bonus is delivered through the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MVCS) and the Mivivienda Fund, in coordination with the municipalities.
