Glasgow – Sprinter Markus Fuchs narrowly missed the 60 m final at the World Indoor Championships in Glasgow with a new personal best. In the semifinals on Friday, the 28-year-old from Lower Austria took tenth place in 6.58 seconds. Susanne Gogl-Walli was also at the end of the 400 m semi-final; after a strong run, the Upper Austrian came ninth. Pentathlete Verena Mayr missed out on the medals in fifth place with 4,466 points.
