Olympiacos – Fenerbahce and Brugge – PAOK were drawn in the quarterfinals of the Conference League. The road that the two Greek teams will follow until the final of the Opap Arena in New Philadelphia.
Vassilis Tsiartas, as the ambassador of the final, was the man who helped make the draw for the Conference League quarter-finals, with the veteran footballer… sending Olympiacos over and PAOK over Belgian Bruges.
The quarter-final pairings:
Bruges – PAOK
Olympiacos – Fenerbahce
The crossovers until the final:
The first quarter-final will be held on April 11 and the second on the 18th of the month. The first semi-final is scheduled for May 2 and the second for May 9. The final will be held at the OPAP Arena on May 29.
Which quarter-final matches will be played at 19:45 and which at 22:00 will be determined following the draw, most likely in the followingnoon. The semi-finals and final will be held at 22:00.
PAOK is in the quarter-finals of a European competition for the first time since 2021-2022 and its elimination by Marseille in the Europa Conference League, while Olympiacos returned from 1998-1999 and its elimination by Juventus in the Champions League.
“The reaction of Olympiakos was a big surprise, having lost at home with a heavy score, they managed to react, to achieve a triumph. Greece is a country that welcomes the final. I hope we enjoy it. It is a very beautiful stadium. I hope both Greek teams go to the final. I wish them the best, that they have a long career and stand out from this process”, said Vassilis Tsiartas.
