The members of the Challenge App Africa jury selected the three finalists for the fourth edition from among 800 applications received. They come from Burkina Faso, Morocco and Congo.

This year, the competition aims to encourage the emergence of digital solutions promoting green energy in Africa. Accessible to all young French-speaking African entrepreneurs, this edition will reward digital innovations such as websites and applications, which contribute to improving access to clean energy.
The three finalists, who will have the opportunity to participate in the final of the Africa App Challenge on April 3 at the French Institute of Côte d’Ivoire in Abidjan are:
• New Case for “Kingua” (Burkina Faso) : application facilitating the use of solar electric charging stations in Burkina Faso by allowing users to locate and check the real-time availability of the terminals, while making payment directly from the application.
• Mounir Jamai for “NR COUNTER” (Morocco) : an Energy Management System platform for smart grids (“intelligent” electrical networks) optimizing energy production, storage and consumption, making energy accessible in rural Africa.
• Divin Kouebatouka for “Green box” (Congo) : GreenBox ™️ is a farm management application monitoring products coming in and out of the system, providing alerts on product quality and shelf life, and real-time price forecasts to help farmers assess the value of their products on the market. walk.
The winner, who will receive funding for the development of their project to the tune of 15,000 euros, will be revealed on April 3 during the public recording of the show.C’est Pas du Vent” in Abidjan, presented by Igor Strauss on RFI.
Through this competition, RFI and France 24 wish to encourage and support innovation, by stimulating and supporting young African entrepreneurs.
The jury for this first selection is made up of Anne-Cécile Bras, journalist at RFI and presenter of the show “C’est pas du vent”; Guillaume Grallet, journalist at Le Point and columnist for Tech 24 on France 24; Jeanne Richard, journalist for Environmental Questions; Aphrodice Mutangana, director of partnerships at Digital Africa; Arona Diedhiou, research director at the Institute of Research for Development (IRD); Olivia Hervy, Head of Ecosystem at Viva Technology; Olivier Prentout, marketing director at Ayoba; Philippe Miquel, Managing Director CFAO Infrastructure – B2B sector; Karim Sy, founder of the Jokkolabs association; and finally Armand Sofack, founder and CEO of Mobility Cloud.
Launched by RFI and France 24 and its partners CFAO Infrastructure, Digital Africa, IRD, Ayoba, Viva Technology, the Club Abidjan Ville Durable, AFD, Digital Energy Facility (funded by the European Union and implemented by AFD ), Ademe and Ecobank. The eighth edition of the Africa App Challenge aims to reward digital innovations to improve green energy in Africa.
