Athens – In Greece, consumers are currently paying more than ever before for a liter of commercially available olive oil, with prices ranging between twelve and 15 euros. In March, prices for liquid gold increased by 67.2 percent compared to the same month last year, as the statistics authority Elstat announced on Wednesday. This is particularly bitter for the Greeks, as they are the EU leaders with a consumption of around twelve liters per capita per year.
