The British Parliament has passed a controversial law allowing the government to deport asylum seekers who arrived irregularly in the United Kingdom to Rwanda.
After members of the House of Lords repeatedly sent the bill back to the House of Commons for amendment, they ultimately agreed not to make any further amendments to the bill, allowing it to pass.
Having been approved by both houses of Parliament, the bill will come into force upon its ratification by the King.
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and the ruling Conservative Party sought to pass this text to force judges to consider Rwanda, located in East Africa, as a safe third country.
