On April 22, 2024, It was 14 years since the death of the Paisa presenter and model Lina Marulanda.
The famous Noticias Caracol presenter was born on May 15, 1980, in the city of Medellín, Antioquia. Such was her talent that she became part of Caracol Televisión’s entertainment formats, such as Desafío.
Lina Marulanda’s life ended on Thursday, April 22, 2010, following committing suicide.
One of her closest friends, Iván Lalinde (host of Día a Día), as usual, remembered her on this important date and dedicated an emotional message to her through his Instagram account.
“Today is April 22, many things happen. First, It’s the anniversary of my beautiful partner, Lina Marulanda… 14 years already? 14 years. That April 22, if I’m not wrong, was a Thursday,” is how Lalinde began her message.
He reported that, although more than a decade has passed since Lina Marulanda left, “I feel that always, always, always the ‘skinny one’ is next to me.”

The program Expediente Final, on Caracol Television, remembered what it was like on April 22, 2010.
Lina Marulanda’s assistant and friend, Carolina Martínez, said that the Paisa model and presenter “She fell into a very great sadness and she might no longer handle her situation, like everything was coming together and she no longer knew what to do.”

I ran out, threw away the laptop and opened the door (where it was) and started knocking on Lina’s door and she didn’t answer me.”said Carolina Martínez.
And as if it were a premonition, Martínez took Lina’s cell phone to call the complex’s guard, because he wanted to ask him if something had happened. The official only asked him to go down to the first floor.
Upon reaching the ground floor, Martínez said that She saw her friend “lying down, her eyes were open. When I picked her up, I took her signs and told her parents (with her head) that she was not, “which meant that she had died.
