JADEN McDaniels scored 25 points as the Minnesota Timberwolves dominated the Phoenix Suns to win 105-93, Wednesday (24/4) WIB, to take a 2-0 lead in the first round of the NBA playoffs.

McDaniels led the Wolves’ offense with five starters scoring more than 10 points as the Western Conference’s third seed needed two more wins to advance to the next round.

However, in this game, it was the Wolves defense that shone by successfully reducing the Suns attack led by Kevin Durant and Devin Booker.

A bad night for the Suns culminated with Booker fouling out in the fourth quarter when Grayson Allen limped off the court with an ankle injury in the third quarter.

That means Suns coach Frank Vogel will have to work hard to prepare his team for Game 3 in Arizona.

Wolves scored 31 points from 20 turnovers made by the Suns while the Suns were only able to record 2 points from 14 turnovers made by Wolves.

“We’ve had that problem all year and it cost us dearly in this game,” said Vogel.

McDaniels led the Wolves with 25 points, eight rebounds and three assists while Rudy Gobert and Mike Conley added 18 points each. (AFP/Z-1)
