Dubai will soon have the world’s largest airport. According to the basic design, the new airport will have five parallel runways. Passengers of 400 flights can be offloaded simultaneously.
The construction of the airport, which is five times the size of Dubai’s existing airport, will cost 35 billion dollars. Al Maktoum International Airport will have the capacity to handle 260 million passengers annually.
In a post on social media platform X, Dubai Ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said that the airport will continue the development process and help provide a better life for future generations.
The airport is a part of the plans of the rulers of Dubai to make Dubai a global center of finance, aviation, cultural diversity, diplomacy and shopping, and related projects cannot be completed until its construction.
