Another bad news has come out for the citizens under the pressure of inflation, the government has increased the rates per unit while dropping electricity on the people.
Nepra has issued a notification of price hike. ٍ Electricity has been increased by 3 rupees 33 paisa per unit, the price increase has been done in the context of the monthly fuel price adjustment in May.
Dropping another electricity bomb on the public due to inflation, the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has increased the price of electricity by Rs 3 33 paise per unit.
The government has approved to hike electricity by Rs 7.12 per unit.
According to the notification, additional charges will be made from electricity consumers in July bills, the increase will not be applicable to Lifeline and K Electric customers.
It may be recalled that the CPPA had asked for an increase of Rs 3 41 paise per unit in the May adjustment.
