Heavy rain caused flooding and fallen trees in Greater Caracas

Users on social networks reported trees falls, power outages and flooding in different areas of Greater Caracas.

X (formerly Twitter) users reported electric shocks and thunder in the Chacao municipality.

According to reports from the media outlet El Tequeño, the Oveja Negra stream on the Pan-American Highway overflowed as a result of heavy rains.

In Macaracuay, Sucre municipality, flooded streets were reported due to rainfall. The same situation is repeated in zone 6 of the José Félix Rivas neighborhood in Petare.

In El Hatillo, users reported the closure of the curves, at the height of the Farmatodo de Los Naranjos, as a result of a fallen tree. This same situation was repeated in the Baruta municipality, where Civil Protection officials attended to a fallen tree, as reported on their social networks.

Trees fell during the downpour.

For his part, the mayor of Baruta, Darwing González, made the telephone number 0412/3362122 available to citizens to report any news.
