A United Airlines flight from Newark Liberty Airport to Dublin was diverted to St. john’s International Airport in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, early Friday morning due to a medical emergency onboard. The flight, united Flight 23, departed Thursday evening and was approximately three hours into its six-hour journey when the decision to divert was made.
United Airlines confirmed to The Independent that a passenger required medical attention and the aircraft landed in Canada around 2:30 a.m. local time.The passenger was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
