Alabama students Demonstrate Gains In Latest ACAP Scores

Montgomery, Ala. – Positive trends are emerging from Alabama Public Schools, according to recently released data.

The Alabama Department of Education has published the results of the Alabama Comprehensive Assessment Program (ACAP) for the previous academic year. Dr.Eric mackey,State Superintendent of Education,expressed optimism regarding the findings.

Students statewide exhibited improvements in key areas, including reading, writing, comprehension, and grammar proficiency. These gains suggest a positive shift in academic performance across multiple disciplines.

“I was very excited to see that in level 1, our lowest performance level in every grade, we saw fewer students,” Dr. Mackey stated.”It means we are pushing students to higher achievement across the state in every grade.”

Furthermore, Alabama’s ACT scores remain stable, with an average composite score of 17.3. Alabama is notable for being one of the few states requiring all students to take the ACT.
