Samsung Galaxy A57 & A37: Specs, Release Date & Price Leaks

by Sophie Lin - Technology Editor

Samsung is gearing up for a busy spring, with the highly anticipated Galaxy S26 series set to debut soon, followed by the more accessible Galaxy A57 and A37 models. While the flagship S26 line commands attention, Samsung’s dominance in the global smartphone market is largely driven by its popular mid-range offerings, catering to a broader range of budgets and user needs. The Galaxy A57 and A37 are expected to arrive next month, offering a compelling alternative for consumers seeking feature-rich devices without the premium price tag.

Details regarding the specifications of the upcoming Galaxy A57 and A37 have surfaced, courtesy of leaker Sanju Choudhary. These leaks provide a glimpse into what consumers can expect from Samsung’s next generation of mid-range smartphones. The Galaxy A57, in particular, appears poised to deliver a solid experience with its combination of display technology, processing power, and camera capabilities.

The Galaxy A57 is rumored to feature a 6.6-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, providing vibrant visuals and fluid scrolling. Powering the device will be Samsung’s in-house Exynos 1680 chipset, paired with UFS 3.1 storage for quick data access. A substantial 5,000mAh battery will maintain things running, supported by 45W fast charging. The camera setup will include a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 12MP ultrawide lens, and a 5MP macro lens, alongside a 12MP front-facing camera. The device is expected to measure 6.9mm thick and weigh 182 grams, and boasts an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

Galaxy A37: A Slightly More Modest Offering

The Galaxy A37 will also feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. However, it will be powered by the less powerful Exynos 1480 SoC. Like the A57, it will pack a 5,000mAh battery with 45W charging support. The camera system will consist of a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide lens, a 5MP macro lens, and a 12MP front camera. The A37 will have an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance.

Software and Design Refinements

Both the Galaxy A57 and A37 are expected to ship with Android 16. Renderings suggest Samsung has reduced the bezel thickness around the display of the Galaxy A57, offering a more immersive viewing experience, though the A37 will retain a slightly more prominent bezel. This design tweak, if confirmed, could be a key differentiator for the A57.

The Galaxy A57 and A37 represent Samsung’s continued commitment to providing a diverse range of smartphones to meet the needs of various consumers. By offering compelling features at more accessible price points, Samsung aims to maintain its position as the world’s leading smartphone vendor. The launch of these devices will likely occur shortly after the pre-orders for the Galaxy S26 begin on February 25th or 26th, with a market release anticipated in early March, according to GSMArena.

As Samsung prepares to unveil these new devices, consumers will be watching closely to see how they stack up against the competition and whether they deliver the value and performance that Samsung promises. The coming weeks will undoubtedly be filled with further leaks and announcements as the launch date approaches.
