Rabat, Morocco – The Fondation CDG has launched the second edition of its AWANE Start program, a key initiative designed to bolster the capacity and sustainability of associations across Morocco. This program offers comprehensive support to organizations operating without dedicated human resources for development, aiming to strengthen the country’s associative ecosystem.
The AWANE Start program represents a significant investment in Morocco’s third sector, providing crucial resources to organizations working at the local level. The initiative focuses on professionalizing the associative sector by addressing a critical need: a lack of dedicated personnel focused on organizational development. This year’s edition builds on the success of the first AWANE program, launched in April 2025, which targeted associations in Casablanca-Settat, Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, and Fès-Meknès Aujourd’hui le Maroc.
Program Details and Support Offered
This year, up to nine associations will receive tailored support, including assistance in developing and implementing a three-year development plan. The program will also focus on strengthening organizational capacity in planning and structuring activities. A key component of the support is a financial contribution to cover the costs associated with hiring a project and development manager. This financial assistance is intended to ensure the long-term sustainability of the initiatives undertaken by the participating associations.
The Fondation CDG aims to support the maintenance and development of local initiatives driven by community-based associations, which are considered essential for a resilient and high-performing Moroccan associative ecosystem Aujourd’hui le Maroc.
