Rush Announce 2027 South America & Europe ‘Fifty Something’ Tour Dates

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Rush have announced a significant expansion of their “Fifty Something Tour,” adding dates across South America, the United Kingdom, and Europe in early 2027. The tour, initially launched in 2026 to celebrate the band’s 50 years of music and honor the legacy of late drummer Neil Peart, proved immensely popular, selling over half a million tickets for 58 shows in 24 cities. This new leg marks the band’s first return to Europe since 2013 and to South America in 17 years.

The “evening with” shows will feature a unique format, with Rush performing two distinct sets each night, drawing from a catalog of over 40 songs. Fans can anticipate a mix of classic hits and fan favorites, curated to provide a different experience each evening. Tickets for these highly anticipated performances proceed on sale Friday, February 27th, at 10:00 AM local time.

Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson will be joined on stage by German drummer, composer, and producer Anika Nilles, known for her work with Jeff Beck, having performed in over 60 shows with the legendary guitarist, and her four solo albums. Keyboardist Loren Gold, who has collaborated with The Who and Roger Daltrey, will too contribute to the tour’s sound.

A Tribute to Neil Peart and a Celebration of Legacy

The Fifty Something Tour is not simply a reunion. it’s a deliberate effort to honor the profound impact of Neil Peart, Rush’s late drummer and lyricist. Lee emphasized the band’s desire to give Peart “the long overdue tribute he so richly deserves,” stating, “You can’t wait to get back to all these cities we haven’t played in so long, as well as hitting some new places we’ve yet to play.” He added that the band is enjoying the extensive rehearsal process, learning around 40 songs to ensure a dynamic and evolving setlist.

The sentiment was echoed by Carrie Nuttall-Peart and Olivia Peart, Neil’s widow and daughter, who expressed their excitement to support the tour. They highlighted Peart’s “singular musicianship” and the depth of his artistry, noting that his contributions were “irreplaceable” and profoundly shaped the connection fans had with the band. They stated, “As the band enters this new chapter, it promises to be truly unforgettable.”
