PEORIA, Ariz. — The Nebraska women’s golf team continued its strong spring season performance, securing a fourth-place finish at the Westbrook Spring Invitational held at the Westbrook Village Golf Club’s Vistas Course on Monday. The Huskers carded a season-best three-round team score of 838 (-26), finishing just one stroke behind third-place Kansas State, ranked No. 26 nationally.

Leading the charge for Nebraska were freshmen Ailis Tribolet and Kaleigh Babineaux, who both tied for sixth place individually with a three-round total of 207 (-9). Their performance marked a significant milestone in their collegiate careers and contributed to the team’s success in a competitive field that included four top-40 teams. Tribolet, a true freshman from Chandler, Arizona, delivered a standout performance, highlighted by a collegiate career-best score of 207. Her final round of 69 (-3) capped off a tournament that included an opening-round 67 (-5) featuring an eagle on the par-5 eighth hole. This result represents a 10-stroke improvement from her previous best of 217 at the UCF Challenge in January.

Babineaux, hailing from Austin, Texas, mirrored Tribolet’s success, also finishing with a total of 207. Her final round included an eagle on the par-5 14th hole, adding to her consistent play throughout the tournament. This performance marked her first top-10 finish and fifth consecutive top-25 finish of the season.
