Lamborghini 101FT: The €3 Million Yacht Redefining Luxury at Sea

The intersection of automotive power and nautical luxury has a new flagship: the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 101FT. Unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show 2025, this collaboration between Automobili Lamborghini and The Italian Sea Group isn’t just a vessel; it’s a statement. The yacht quickly found a buyer, signaling strong demand for this unique blend of high-performance engineering and opulent design. This rapid sale underscores the appeal of a segment where automotive prowess meets maritime excellence.

At the heart of the Tecnomar 101FT lies a formidable power plant. Three MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines, each delivering 2,600 horsepower, combine for a total output of 7,600 horsepower. Whereas mathematically surprising, this figure accounts for power losses inherent in the transmission and synchronization of the three engines to the propellers, as reported by sources covering the launch. This triple-engine configuration allows the yacht to achieve a top speed of 45 knots – approximately 83 kilometers per hour – making it one of the fastest in its class.

Power and Performance on the Water

The Tecnomar 101FT’s performance isn’t solely about raw power. Three propellers provide propulsion, supported by two 35-kilowatt generators powering all onboard systems. At 30 meters (approximately 98 feet) in length, the yacht strikes a balance between agility and comfort, a departure from the previous Tecnomar 63, which prioritized pure speed. The Italian Sea Group highlights the yacht’s ability to deliver an “unrepeatable experience” mirroring the thrill of driving a Lamborghini super sports car.

The yacht’s design is unmistakably Lamborghini. Sharp, sculpted lines echo the Lamborghini Fenomeno, with a sleek silhouette reminiscent of the brand’s high-performance cars. The iconic Giallo Crius yellow finish further emphasizes this connection. Even the lighting signature borrows from Lamborghini’s automotive styling cues.

A Lamborghini Interior at Sea

The interior of the 101FT seamlessly translates the Lamborghini aesthetic to the marine environment. Key features include:

  • Distinctive Y-shaped and hexagonal motifs
  • A steering wheel inspired by Lamborghini’s road car designs
  • A button start reminiscent of the Aventador
  • The Ad Personam customization program, allowing owners to personalize every detail

This meticulous attention to detail ensures a consistent brand experience, whether on land or at sea. Each yacht is built to order, guaranteeing exclusivity for its owner. Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, stated the yacht “transposes Lamborghini’s DNA to the sea: performance, design, and innovation reach together in a motoryacht that redefines the concept of nautical luxury,” as reported by Lamborghini’s official news release.

The Tecnomar 101FT can accommodate up to nine guests in luxurious suites, complemented by three cabins for the crew. This expanded capacity represents an evolution from previous models, prioritizing extended comfort without sacrificing dynamic performance. Giacomo Sorlino, a maritime broker at Banchero Costa Network, confirmed the sale of the first unit via LinkedIn, demonstrating the interest of high-net-worth individuals in these hybrid creations.

Looking Ahead: Hybrid Horizons

Lamborghini is already considering hybrid versions for future maritime creations, signaling a long-term commitment to this sector. This initial sale marks the beginning of a sustained presence for the Italian brand on the water, expanding its reach beyond the asphalt. The Tecnomar Lamborghini 101FT demonstrates that automotive excellence can be successfully reimagined in the world of high-end yachting.

What comes next for this collaboration remains to be seen, but Lamborghini’s commitment to innovation suggests further exploration of hybrid technologies and bespoke yacht designs. The success of the 101FT undoubtedly paves the way for more ambitious projects, solidifying Lamborghini’s position in the luxury yacht market.
