Milford High School’s girls basketball team secured its first state championship title Friday, defeating Malcolm 66-52 in the Class C1 State Title Game, according to reports from KOLN and 1011now.com.
The Eagles, led by senior guard Kylie Jakub and Shayla Rautenberg, overcame a two-point lead held by Malcolm heading into the fourth quarter. Jakub contributed crucial back-to-back three-pointers, shifting the momentum in Milford’s favor.
