Nu Colombia has launched its 2026 Internship Program, seeking university students for positions in Bogotá focused on finance and technology, with applications open until March 22nd. The program aims to attract young talent currently in the later stages of their university studies.
The fintech company, founded by David Vélez, intends to integrate selected students into teams developing digital financial products and technological solutions. Opportunities are available in four key areas: Business Analytics, Software Engineering, Product Operations and Design. Applicants are required to select two areas of interest during the application process.
Business Analytics will focus on data analysis and generating insights to improve decision-making and operational efficiency. Software Engineering will concentrate on developing digital products and solutions using agile methodologies. Product Operations will be responsible for the efficient execution of products, optimizing processes, and achieving objectives. The Design team will focus on creating digital experiences, from user research to prototyping and product validation.
To be eligible, applicants must be currently enrolled in a Colombian university, anticipate graduating between December 2026 and December 2027, possess an advanced level of English proficiency, and have university authorization to undertake the internship. Candidates must reside in Bogotá and be available for a hybrid work model requiring two days of in-person work per week. A commitment of 40 hours per week for six months or one year, as determined by the university, is also required.
Nu Colombia clarified that the program operates under a formal training agreement and does not involve apprenticeship contracts. The selection process will span approximately two months, beginning with online applications and tests in March for those meeting the initial criteria. In April, candidates will participate in collaborative group dynamics simulating real-world work scenarios. Virtual interviews with company leaders and the recruitment team are scheduled for May. Successful candidates will be notified in June, with internships commencing in July 2026.
Prior to the application deadline, Nu Colombia will host NuSession, a virtual event on March 17th, allowing prospective applicants to connect with current interns and company leaders to learn more about the program. Registration details are available online.
