AIRENGY Acquires European Electricity Assets – Renewable Energy Platform Expansion

Airengy, formerly known as Augwind Energy, has acquired a portfolio of six solar projects in Poland with a combined capacity of 34 megawatts, marking the company’s first investment in revenue-generating electricity assets in Europe. The transaction, valued at approximately €23.7 million, will witness Airengy complete the acquisition of each project upon reaching commercial operation, ensuring immediate cash flow, according to a statement released Tuesday.

The acquired projects are at varying stages of development, with some already operational and others nearing completion. Airengy plans to enhance the portfolio by integrating battery energy storage systems (BESS), bolstering its position in the renewable energy and storage market. Total projected revenues over the projects’ lifetime are estimated between €97 million and €120 million, with projected EBITDA ranging from €75 million to €84 million.

This move signals a strategic shift for Airengy, which rebranded in February 2026, reflecting its evolution from a technology developer to a comprehensive energy infrastructure company operating in both Israel and Europe. The rebranding, approved by the Board of Directors and shareholders, is intended to align the company’s identity with its expanded operations across the entire energy value chain – development, construction, and operation of energy storage and electricity generation assets.

“This is the first transaction of its kind for Airengy, signaling the start of ownership and operation activity of revenue-generating energy assets in Europe,” said Tal Raz, CEO of Airengy. Yiftah Ron-Tal, Chairman of Airengy’s Board, stated the rebranding reflects the company’s maturation and strengthened positioning within advanced electricity grids.

Airengy’s shares now trade under the ticker symbol ARNG on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. The company clarified that the name change does not affect shareholders’ rights or capital structure. The acquisition in Poland represents a building block for a broader renewable energy and storage platform Airengy is developing across Europe, combining renewable generation with advanced storage capabilities.
