MEG, a 15-year-old painter from Quebec, will realize a dream by exhibiting eleven of her creations at the Artexpo fair in New York.
The young woman from Stoneham-et-Tewkesbury will be the youngest artist selected for this event, which will be held from March 30 to April 2 at Pier 36. She will be part of a contingent of 200 exhibitors from 27 countries.
This is also the first time that MEG has traveled with its works outside of Canada.
MEG will unveil 11 creations created over the past few months. We will find lively colors, pure pigments and refined works that are his signature.
The child prodigy
Qualified as a child prodigy of abstract art, Mégane MEG Fortin began painting at the age of 7 with the French-Canadian artist Maurice Louis, during an introductory abstract painting workshop for children from the Town of Stoneham-et-Tewkesbury.
His works were revealed to the public during an exhibition at the Jean-Luc Grondin Library. His 19 exhibited canvases sold out in a few days and some made their way to Europe. At age 9, she joined the ArtZoom International Artists Collective (CIAAZ).
His works have been exhibited in Miami, Los Angeles and San Francisco, as well as in Europe.
MEG exhibits permanently at the Galerie Artisan Moderne in Montreal and is present in the permanent collection of the Musée d’art contemporain VR 3D in Longwy, France.
