A 17-year-old boy stabbed in Montreal North

A 17-year-old is in critical condition after being stabbed Saturday morning in Montreal North.

Around 4 a.m. Saturday, a call was made to 911 concerning a man with a stab wound on Gervais Street, near Industrial Boulevard, in the Montreal North sector.

The victim, a 17-year-old man, was found injured in the upper body by police officers from the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM). She was immediately transported to the hospital center where her condition is considered critical and there are fears for her life, said SPVM agent Jean-Pierre Brabant.

According to initial information, an altercation would have degenerated and the minor would have received at least one stab wound.

A security perimeter has been erected on Avenue Gervais between Boulevard Industriel and Rue Charleroi. Investigators and forensic identification specialists are on hand to shed light on the circumstances surrounding the incident.
