A 4th loss in a row for Colorado

Stanley Cup holders Colorado suffered their fourth straight NHL loss on Monday. Denis Malgin’s Avalanche lost 3-2 to the Golden Knights.

Las Vegas forced the decision thanks in particular to a double from Nicolas Roy and 27 saves from Logan Thompson, who stopped the 2 shots on target by Denis Malgin. Nathan MacKinnon opened the scoring for Colorado following just 25 seconds.

The Winter Classic, played in front of 39,243 spectators at Fenway Park in Boston, also saw the Bruins inflict a fifth consecutive defeat on the Pittsburgh Penguins. The best team in the League made the difference on a brace from Jake DeBrusk.
