The accused is called “Nadia,” 34 years old, and her husband, the victim, is “Yahya. A.,” 58, a cleaner, 24 years younger than him. Their lives were not straight from the start due to the large age difference between them, which prompted the wife to think about getting rid of the victim.
The accused married several times, had 6 children, and after her last divorce, she married the victim, describing him as an “old man”, for a period not exceeding nine months, where she married him without her consent, after her family forced her to marry him for fear of delinquency.
“My family feared me from walking idle, and Jozoni is 24 years older than me.” But it seems that she was not happy from the first day of marriage, as she had a romantic relationship with a young man, 24 years old, who resides in Fayoum Governorate.
The accused’s emotional relationship with the young man prompted her to try to persuade her husband to divorce her, but he refused to separate from her, and the length of the last period continued in disputes with him, until she agreed with him to give him an amount of 3 thousand pounds in exchange for separating from her, but he continued to refuse, so she decided to get rid of him and made the intention and determination to kill him.
The age difference between the spouses and his inability to meet the needs of the wife who hopes for her groom, was the justification that actually prompted the accused to commit her crime less than a year after the marriage, and to get rid of her husband to escape with the young man in Fayoum Governorate.
The wife developed more than one scenario to get rid of the husband, until she finally decided to determine the way that would rid her of her husband; So she asked him to play with her, as they tie each other to untie him, so the husband tied her with a “sharp”, but she untied her, then it was her turn and tied him with a washing line from the hands and feet.
The accused surprised him by clasping her hands and wrapping an scarf around his neck until he died, and began to think about her way to ensure that she would delude everyone that the death was natural, so the wife called for an ambulance and transferred her husband to Abu Al-Nomros Hospital and called the family of the victim, and told them that her husband “Yahya” had been in a car accident. , and that unknown persons took him to the house and left, and I was surprised by his death after that.
The accused did not wait long until she fled to Fayoum Governorate to meet her lover, after she got rid of her husband forever so that the air would be clear for her with her lover and to meet together whenever they wanted to.
The Public Prosecution, in turn, recorded the accused’s confession to the victim’s family, and her location was found, arrested, and brought to the investigation authorities, which confronted her with the details of the crime.
For its part, the Public Prosecution decided to detain the accused, pending investigations, and then referred her to the Criminal Court, which sentenced her to death for the accusations attributed to her for the premeditated murder of her husband.
