A campaign to prevent Saad Lamjarred from singing in Baghdad – IMLebanon

A number of Iraqi activists launched a campaign on social media to refuse to hold a concert by Moroccan artist Saad Lamjarred, scheduled to be held in Baghdad in June, following accusations of rape.

Through the hashtag “Saad Lamjarred’s party is rejected,” the Iraqis circulated tweets objecting to the Moroccan artist coming to Baghdad and reviving the party in light of the accusations facing the latter.

A number of pages supporting women’s rights also considered that holding the abstract party in Baghdad is an attempt to “polish his image, given that he has been accused of several cases of harassment and rape, in which no verdicts have been issued so far.”

It is noteworthy that the concert of the abstract, scheduled to be held by the “Sinbad Land” company in Baghdad next June, is his first in Iraq.
