A Case of Vehicle Theft and Drug Possession: Yacine’s Legal Sentencing Explained

2023-08-16 18:50:00

At the home of a person suspected of vehicle theft, during a home visit, the Charleroi police fell by chance on Yacine. The latter was traveling with a suitcase containing 20g of heroin, 7g of cocaine, a sum of money and a mobile phone. The lot was obtained the day before via a compatriot following asking him for financial assistance to survive with us and be able to return to France in the future.

Instead of the 18 months in prison required by the prosecution, Yacine was sentenced to 12 months in prison with a simple reprieve of 5 years for his first judicial conviction.
