A child died after being found unresponsive in a parked vehicle in Vaudreuil-Dorion, Montérégie, late Friday afternoon.
It was around 4:15 p.m. that the emergency services received a call concerning the presence of the toddler in a vehicle.

Once the little one was freed, resuscitation maneuvers were started.
The child was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

“We don’t know how long he was in the vehicle,” said Alex Decelles, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec, adding that the investigation was entrusted to the Major Crimes Investigation Service.
Investigators will try to determine the exact causes surrounding this event.
