A cyclist died after falling on a rural road in San Marcos Sierras

Last Sunday, at noon, Horacio Dorado (76) was doing a cycling practice with a group of friends on a rural road in an area near San Marcos Sierras, in the northwest of the province of Córdoba, when he suffered a sinister road that generated a fatal polytraumatism.

Dorado was a renowned merchant and athlete from Huerta Grande.

During the journey along the Rincón road, near San Marcos, he had a collision with another vehicle that caused him to fall down a ravine, hitting his head hard once morest the stones.

He was quickly transferred, assisted by volunteer firefighters, to the Aurelio Crespo Hospital in Cruz del Eje, where he underwent emergency maneuvers, an ultrasound scan, and was placed on a respirator.

On duty he was diagnosed with polytrauma, affecting the skull and thorax.

The victim, at the time of the accident, would not have had a protective helmet on.

According to a source from the health center, he was taken by ambulance to the Allende Sanatorium, in the city of Córdoba, where shortly following entering, he decompensated and died around 7:00 p.m.
