Al-Marsad newspaper: The former Dutch and international football star and former coach Clarence Seedorf announced his conversion to Islam in the Emirates, specifically at the Center for Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities.
Seedorf thanked his followers after receiving a large number of messages during the past hours, after circulating the news of his conversion to Islam.
Seedorf wrote on his Instagram account: “Special thanks for all the kind messages congratulating me on my conversion to Islam. I am very happy, and happy to join all the brothers and sisters around the world, especially my beloved Sophia (his wife), who taught me deeply the meaning of Islam.”
He said, “I have not changed my name and will continue to bear my name as my father, Clarence Seedorf said! I send all my love to everyone in the world.”
